USAPL Club Coach.
I started working in sports in 2015 as an intern with an Indoor Football League (IFL) team. The person on the field throwing t-shirts to the crowd, or in the back office writing media guides you probably threw out right after the game… that was me! From there, I spent a couple of seasons with a National Football League (NFL) team. My time with the Green Bay Packers opened up an opportunity to move from Green Bay to Austin, TX. I spent nearly 6 years with a sports media company in Austin. I covered competitive fitness, weightlifting, and strongman, as well as 20+ other sports (from rodeo and racing, to cheerleading and gymnastics) over that time. Knowledge about a wide variety of sports across all levels of competition… I’ve got it! After helping film a documentary on Team USA at the Senior Pan American Weightlifting Championships in Cartagena, Colombia in 2016, I became interested in coaching. I got my Level 1 in 2017 and began coaching the same year. I have been coaching ever since, and in 2022 I earned my Level 2.
I started CrossFit when I was in college. Truth be told, I was shy, and I wanted an excuse to get out of going to parties. I quickly realized my body was capable of a lot more than I thought, and I became drawn to the challenge. I became the girl on campus who was visiting the Rogue Fitness factory over spring break, or presenting papers on olympic weightlifters in class. As someone who was never a strong athlete growing up, CrossFit brought out a new (stronger and more confident) version of myself.
My purpose for coaching is to guide you to show yourself that you can do hard things. Everyone comes in with their own motivation, and I aim to be the coach that keeps your motivation alive. My goal is to ensure you leave my class having learned something, or having had a fun time (ideally both!).
